During studio time, I believe every child is a unique artist and I strive to bring out their creativity. I foster a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable to express themselves freely through their art. While lessons are teacher-guided, young artists always have the opportunity to add their personal touch, making each creation their own. Questions are always encouraged, and connections with fellow artists their age are formed.
Developing essential life skills
Beyond sketching, drawing, and painting, my group art lessons are a fantastic tool for developing not only social skills, but life skills as well. Artmaking naturally involves problem-solving, as children learn to navigate "mistakes" and find creative solutions. It also serves as an essential tool for self-regulation, helping young artists understand and manage their emotions, whether positive or negative, throughout the creative process. These are valuable skills that extend far beyond paper or canvas.

My diverse range of engaging art activities designed to spark creativity. Children will enjoy drawing landscapes and animals, always with room to add their own unique interpretations. We delve into concepts like using space effectively, creating strong compositions, and understanding perspective. Beyond two-dimensional art, we also explore sculpture, using recyclable materials to build exciting three-dimensional creations, fostering both artistic skill and environmental awareness.
